WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO TRAIN YOUR CORE?

Despite what you might think, your core is more than having your abs ready to show on the beach (no that there is something wrong with that lol).

Your core muscles are the muscles deep within the abdominals and back, attaching to the spine or pelvis. The main functions of these muscles is to protect the spine from excessive load and to transfer force from the lower to the upper body. Having a strong core also helps to maintain a good posture.

Training the muscles around your core (abdomen, lower back, hips and pelvis) supports balance and stability in any of your daily activities, from sitting on the desk working on your computer to that long run in the afternoon.

Other benefits of having a strong core are

Reduces pain, specially in the lower back area

Reduces the risk of injury

Improves performance

Improves quality of life

Increases longevity
